Activist
receives Norwegian award
The Helsinki Board for Human Rights in Serbia
presented Sonja Biserko with the Lisl and Leo Eitinger Award.

The award is presented by the Oslo University Norway
to individuals actively committed to human rights protection.
According to the jury, Biserko was awarded for her
tireless efforts and active international involvement in the promotion
of human rights, especially in the domain of working with refugees, war
crimes documentation and women's rights.
The award was named after the famous Norwegian human
rights fighters Lisl and Leo Eitinger, and this year it was presented to
Sonja Biserko at the University of Oslo, Faculty of Law, late on Monday,
the Helsinki Board stated in the release. |
