Human Rights Lawyers - U saradnji sa Holandskim Helsinškim odborom (NHC,Hag) i organizacijom Interights (London), Helsinški odbor za ljudska prava u Srbiji je 1.jula 2005. godine započeo sa realizacijom programa praktične obuke za advokate i pravnike iz Srbije i Crne Gore u primeni precedentnog prava i standarda Evropske konvencije o ljudskim pravima u postupku pred Evropskim sudom za ljudska prava u Strazburu.

Welcome to the Human Rights Lawyers website !


This portal has been designed within the Training Program for Human Rights Lawyers and NGOs from Serbia and Montenegro on application and procedure before the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg.

Comprehensive materials used during the Training program as well as numerous valuable information related to the domestic and international law and procedure are made available here to all interested individuals, notably lawyers who feel the need to enhance their knowledge in human rights protection.

Through this portal you may ask questions, send us your suggestions, comments and useful information and share with us your experience or expert opinion on different legal issues.

Our goal is to further promote the effective protection of guaranteed rights of citizens before domestic and international courts and to embed these European principles and standards into domestic legal practice.


SUMMARY OF THE PROGRAM

In cooperation with the Netherlands Helsinki Committee (NHC, the Hague) and Interights, London, the Helsinki Committee for Human Rights in Serbia launched on July 1, 2005 the Training Program for Human Rights Lawyers and NGOs from Serbia and Montenegro on application of precedents and standards of ECHR at the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg.

It is the 2 years Program funded by the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Open Society Institute, Budapest.

Steering Committee members are: Biljana Kovačević –Vučo (YUCOM), Vesna Petrović (Belgrade Centre for Human Rights), Dragana Piletić (Humanitarian Law Fund), Nataša Rašić (Judicial Training Centre), Tea Gorjanc-Prelević (Prelevic Law Firm, Podgorica)
